When you create a pet memorial you may provide the pet’s name, photos, dates, stories, and any other details you choose to include. You may also provide payment information for paid features, which is processed by our payment provider and never stored on our servers in full.

Information collected automatically. When you use the service we may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the service.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage for essential site functions (such as keeping you signed in), your preferences (such as display theme), and aggregate analytics to understand how the service is used. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and memorials.
• Display your memorial content to you and the people you choose to share it with.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, memorial activity notifications) and, with your consent, occasional product updates.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Memorial Visibility and Sharing

You control who can see your memorial. Public memorials are visible to anyone on the internet, including search engines. Private memorials are accessible only via a link you share or a direct invitation. Please share memorial links only with people you trust, as we cannot control what recipients do with a link once you share it.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and memorial content for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records) or to protect the legitimate interests of other users (for example, candle messages left on a memorial by others).

You can delete individual memorials or your entire account at any time from your account settings.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. 7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a portable copy of your data. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email.

8. Children’s Privacy

The service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
