Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
The Forever Space, operated by Jasper (“we,” “us,” or “our”), uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. This Cookie Policy explains what they are, which ones we use and why, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information more broadly.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. “Similar technologies” include things like your browser’s local storage. They let a site remember your actions and preferences — such as keeping you signed in or remembering your display theme — over time. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional.
2. Cookies and Storage We Use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are set only after you sign in, by our authentication provider, to keep you logged in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. The service cannot function securely without them, so they are always active and do not require your consent. An example is the session cookie named __Secure-next-auth.session-token.
Preferences. We remember your display theme (light or dark) using your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device, is never sent to our servers, and is not used to track you.
Analytics. On some accounts, a memorial owner may connect their own Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with their memorial. Where this is enabled, those Google services may set their own cookies on the pages it covers. These analytics load only after you accept optional cookies. This is not enabled across the whole site and is never used for advertising.
3. What We Do Not Do
We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-site behavioural advertising, and we do not track you across other websites.
4. Managing Your Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and clear local storage — refer to your browser’s help pages for instructions. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using account features. You can clear your saved theme preference at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site.
When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept or decline optional (analytics) cookies, and we remember your choice on your device. To be asked again, clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser.
5. Your Rights Under the GDPR and Similar Laws
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with comparable data protection laws, you have rights over the information associated with cookies and similar technologies. We rely on different legal bases depending on the purpose: strictly necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functioning service and do not require consent; any analytics set by a connected account are based on consent where the law requires it. You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data and to object to or restrict certain processing. For the full description of your rights and how to exercise them, see Section 7 of our Privacy Policy or email hello@theforeverspace.com.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves — for example, if we introduce site-wide analytics. We will post any changes on this page, update the “Last updated” date above, and may ask you to review your cookie choices again.
7. Contact
