Their Story

We were not looking for a dog when Sasha came into our lives. Our neighbor's dog had puppies and Sasha made her way to our house. She was shy at first but it didn't take long for her personality to show. She was so energetic and smart. Sasha was able to follow commands with very little training. When Sasha was a little over a year old we found 3 abandoned puppies. We brought them home and Sasha started taking over being their mom. She would take a rope and drag it for the puppies to chase after. I had never seen anything like it. She would also "talk" and tell on the puppies if they ran off. "Talking" was one of her best quirks. As she got older she and one of the last living puppies would go across the pasture to the neighbors and spend all day there. After work my husband or I would have to go pick them up, we would call it picking the kids up from daycare. I hate her life was cut short, she had so much more to give. I will miss her talks, nudges and always needing her butt scratched.
