Their Story

I tell people I adopted Rosie just like that old song "(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window". I was riding in a taxi into downtown Pohang (S. Korea) where I lived at the time. I was watching the stores go by and saw a funny little white dog up on the edge of her plexiglass cage inside a pet store. She was running her back legs like a windmill, to keep herself balanced. A few days later, my friend and I were headed in the same direction and I told her the story. Then we saw her, running her back legs again. The two of us hopped out and ran into the store and the rest is history. She was destined to be mine. And I did everything I could to protect her.

FINAL WORDS

I'm certain I told her I loved her and I was sorry. We had to euthanize her at just 6 years old because of a failed liver. The most hurtful moment was when the vet gave her the sedative and I heard her cry.
