Their Story

Jasper was an angel sent straight from heaven. The tiniest dog, with the biggest heart. He was pure love. Sweet, gentle, funny, and so special. The kind of dog who made everything better just by being there. I was 21, fresh out of college when I decided I needed a dog... living in Tampa, working for the Lightning and knowing I was ready to fill a piece of my heart. I went to visit a litter of puppies, with the clear instructions from my mom that if I found one I could put a deposit down and get everything together before bringing a pup home. I remember the minute I saw Jasper, I knew he was the one. The baby of the little and the only blonde little guy. I had every intention of getting a girl, that's what I grew up with, but when I called my mom she said... "well, would be cute to have him in a little jersey," and not 10 minutes later I was at the ATM. And no, not for the deposit... I knew I couldn't live one more minute without him. We went on so many adventures together, and he was there for every significant milestone. We moved from Tampa to Minneapolis. Minneapolis to West Hollywood. West Hollywood to the Lower East Side. Lower East Side to Stamford. Stamford to Greenwich. Greenwich to the Upper West Side. The Upper West Side to Stamford. Moving was our hobby. Everything was an adventure. We hiked the Flatirons and Garden of the Gods (and by that, I mean I hiked... and carried him). He came with me on work trips, vacations, and even a couple weddings. He was always my plus 1 (when appropriate) and favorite roll dog. Everything was fun, as long as we were together.
