Chewy's story

I adopted Chewy from Friends for Life at Boone Mall in Boone, NC. He looked like a little owl. He also reminded us of Chewbacca from Star Wars which is why we named him Chewy. He lived up to his name. He not only looked like Chewbacca but he sounded like him. He would talk when he was happy or when he was upset. He was a funny little guy. Loved treats. He would do a little tap dance and talk for his favorites. Hated baths and car rides and would talk the whole time. During baths he would talk and even howl sometimes. People said it sounded like I was murdering him. He loved just chilling beside me or doing anything I was doing. Before he tore his ccl, he loved to go on long walks around the neighborhood or at the park. He didn't know a stranger, animals and people. One of my favorite memories is when Gma sang me happy birthday one year, he sung along. He taught me so much about unconditional love, trust, openness, patience, and kindness. I miss the ordinary days where we just hung out together.
